Are You Connected?: Telecommunications Availability in Rural and Regional Communities

On 12 November 2009, the Standing Committee on Broadband in Rural and Regional Services resolved to conduct an inquiry into the availability of telecommunications (including broadband) and other technology services in rural and regional communities with a particular focus on: (a) Differences between advertised service availability and consumer experiences of service levels (b) Gaps in service provision in particular regions and (c) Options for improving service availability
This inquiry was self-referred on 12 November 2009.

The Standing Committee on Broadband in Rural and Regional Services will inquire and report into the availability of telecommunications (including broadband) and other technology services in rural and regional communities with a particular focus on: (a) Differences between advertised service availability and consumer experiences of service levels (b) Gaps in service provision in particular regions and (c) Options for improving service availability
